moonstone

the sounds

A universe of sounds

Each one is a colour, a sigil, and a card you can hold. Some of them the stone shows you the day you plug it in. Some it keeps.

Turn a card over

Delays are green, reverbs blue, modulation purple, drives orange, pitch red. On the front, the sound's sigil as the stone plays it; on the back, what each of its nine controls does.

The stone is hackable

Not every sound in the stone is on show. These are hidden in it, and nothing on the stone says they're there.

We won't tell you how to find them, here or anywhere else. They travel the old way: from someone who knows to someone who doesn't yet. Every hidden sound has a card of its own, and whoever holds that card holds the way in. When you find one, the stone will know. You'll see it.

the cards

Made to be traded

The cards are printed at playing-card size, to be carried, swapped at gigs and slipped into the post.

The exchange keeps the cards you hold, lets you trade them with other players, and opens the sealed fragments you're given. Some hold a sound nobody has shown you yet.

Not everything on this moon has been found.
